The CEMAGREF Refrigerant Processes Engineering Unit develops research activities in thermal and energy fields implemented in the food industries using cold. From 2001 to 2003, the CEMAGREF conducted a study on the logistical chain of refrigerated products, in partnership with the ANIA.

The Industrial Engineering Laboratory of the Ecole Centrale Paris has developed a high level of expertise in the field of logistical chain performance optimisation and evaluation of the impact of new identification and product traceability technologies. It was highly involved in a strategic project coordinated by the MIT on RFID technology.

Laboratoire d’Electronique de Technologie de l’Information.
The CEA-LETI works on automatic identification by electronic label (RFID) solutions and more generally on "contact-free" solutions (remote power feeding and remote transmission). The CEA-LETI actively participates in the ISO /AFNOR standardisation committees on contact-free chip cards and RFID labels.
